Now We Get The Idea

The students could at least get some idea how to go about doing their animated work from the stories and histories that had been foretold to them. The rest it is up to their creativity and fantasy. That is the whole intention of the Storytelling session and the one done by Datuk Hj Light Nanis was one of its kind to expand the horizon of the mind and thinking of the students.

Storytelling by a Director of KKYS

KYS Animation Center second batch students had their first knowledge of the stories and histories from Sabah. Datuk Hj Light Nanis, the President of Malaysian Historical Society Sabah Branch did a story telling session on Tuesday, March 2,2010.

The students just loved the story of the local Romeo and Juliet that originated from Tapadong, Ulu Sungei Segama where both lovers died just because of a joke and blowpipe.

They had wanted to hear more and wanted to be brought to some of the historical sites and location of where the stories came from. Subsequent session would touch on other interesting topics from Sabah.
